Nice to have you here! Nomad Socks isn't a big company — it's a passion project that originated in Hamburg and has its roots in Central Asia.
Who I am
I'm Raida – a mother of three, a student, and the founder of Nomad Socks. I was born in Kyrgyzstan and now live in Hamburg. When I came to Germany, I missed the colorful textiles and rich culture of my homeland – the patterns, the symbols, the stories behind them.
"I didn't just want to sell socks. I wanted to build a bridge – between two cultures, two worlds. Every pair of Nomad Socks is a small piece of Kyrgyzstan finding its way to Germany."
How it all began
The idea emerged quite naturally: I realized that handmade socks with Central Asian patterns were barely known in Germany — even though they carry so much history and craftsmanship. As a mother of three, I was looking for something I could build flexibly from home. Nomad Socks was the answer.
