The Nomads — Free as the WindFor millennia, the people of Kyrgyzstan lived as nomads – moving with their herds through the endless steppes and mountains of Central Asia. They lived in yurts, portable roundhouses made of felt and wood, which could be assembled and dismantled in a few hours. This mobility and freedom continue to shape the Kyrgyz identity and culture to this day – and is reflected in each of our designs.
