I'm Raida – mother of three, student and founder of Nomad Socks. I grew up in breathtaking Kyrgyzstan, surrounded by endless steppe landscapes, majestic mountains and an ancient culture of craftsmanship.
When I moved to Hamburg, I missed the vibrant textiles, the intricate shyrdak felt work and the profound symbols of my home country. Nomad Socks was born from a deep longing to share this unique heritage with people here in Germany.
As a mother of three, I was looking for a way to combine entrepreneurship, studies and family flexibly from home. I have personally held every parcel that leaves our house.

From a wish for cultural connection to the finest socks for every day.
The hidden weaving art of Central Asia
Kyrgyz patterns tell stories that have been passed down for thousands of years around campfires and in yurts. The rock carvings of Saimaluu Tash and traditional shyrdak felt patterns carry wishes for happiness, strength and harmony. Yet in Europe these timeless ornaments were hard to find – until today.
From the kitchen table to the world
It all started very small in a Hamburg flat, between lecture notes and children's laughter. Nomad Socks was deliberately designed so that high material quality and genuine family-friendliness go hand in hand – with all the more passion.
